Kanha National Park is a blissful wildlife reserve of central India. Located in the Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh, Kanha is popular for being an important habitat of the Barasingha, also known as swamp deer. This endangered species have been recognised as the ‘Jewel of Kanha’. The national park is also home to a wide variety of wildlife species. Bengal tigers, leopards, dholes, sloth bears, multiple species of deer, and many are the often spotted during a Kanha jeep safari.

The gates provide entry to the various Kanha safari zones and tourists need to produce their already booked safari permits and identity proofs at the time entry.

The Sarhi safari entry gate is one of the most preferred safari entry gates in Kanha National Park in the eastern side. Tourists booking for the Kanha, Kisli and Sarhi Core Zones and Sijora Buffer Zone are allotted the Sarhi Safari Entry Gate. The jeeps are allowed entry through the Sarhi Gate in the Kanha, Sarhi and Sijora Zones in the morning and the evening slots. Kanha Zone can be entered only in the morning safari through Sarhi Gate.
