It is highly advisable to book safari at least 90 days in advance to secure the best availability in the core zone.

Tourists are not allowed inside the safari zones beyond the safari hours.

Tiger or other wild animal sightings are never guaranteed during the Kanha jeep safari.

One must abide by Kanha National Park's guidelines and follow the safari guide and driver.

Important Jeep Safari Information

  • Jeep safari and zone is given as per subject to availability.
  • Jeep safari amount is non-refundable / transferable and cancellable, once the safari voucher is issued.
  • In case your safari is not booked due to technical error or non-availability of seat, we will refund the whole amount in your given bank account.
  • Pick & Drop facility is available on extra payment — ideally reach at the booked entry gate.
  • Official registered guides can only join your excursions; please do not try to change the guide or naturalist.
  • Single permit holders shall pay for the vehicle and guide at entry; charges are distributed equally among tourists in the vehicle.

Kanha National Park Safari Timings

Two gypsy safaris are conducted daily — one in the morning and another in the afternoon. Safaris are permitted from sunrise to sunset. Exact timings vary slightly by season:

Safari Booking Procedure

Travellers can book a safari by checking availability via calendar on our website, or by calling us directly. Safari booking in advance is mandatory for a holiday tour to Kanha. Timings vary during summer and winter months and can change at the discretion of park management. The park remains closed in March on Holi and every Wednesday evening for safari.

Every day, a specific number of vehicles are permitted to enter different zones to avoid overcrowding and protect the natural flora and fauna.

Important information required while booking online:

  • Government-issued ID proof for name, age, nationality, and sex of the tourist.
  • Identity card number of each visitor (Aadhar, voter ID, PAN, driving license, passport etc.)
  • Tatkal bookings for the next day open every day at 5 PM (one day before).
  • Online booking permit includes charges for permit, vehicle and guide — no extra payment at the gate.
  • Entry permit is for individuals, valid for the specified date and time, and cannot be transferred.
  • Book tickets 120 days in advance as limited vehicles are allowed at a time.
  • If booking shows 'W' (waiting), it is confirmed only if the waiting list clears before 5 days of your excursion.
