History of Kanha National Park
In India, Kanha Wildlife Sanctuary is one of the oldest sanctuaries for wildlife. Initially, it was a reserve forest, it became a national park in 1955, and it was designated as a national park in 1879. In 1973, the area was declared a Tiger Reserve.
